PROBLEM
Historical buildings are in poor shape with no maintenance. Pakistan's rich heritage sites are now under constant threat due to weather effects, negligence, vandalism and terrorism.
APPROACH
We employed an innovative approach to preservation by introducing the use of state of the art 3D Laser Scanners to create virtual tours and 3D models of these sites, creating a digital archive of Pakistan’s iconic architectural sites.
PROCESS
The monuments are scanned using a 3D Laser Scanner.
The point cloud data is registered and cleaned.
The images are stitched to make a panorama.
Floor plans, elevations and cross-sections are made.
